Rules:
01. Below are eight options. Seven "Restart"s, and a "Continue The Cascade" option. 02. Use the restarts as normal. If the only option left is the cascade, make a copy of this episode in that location to continue the cascade. And use one of the seven new options. 03. Don't overdo it. Adding one cascade level at a time is quite enough. 04. Posting these rules with each new cascade level is mandatory, and must happen. 05. While naming your restarts in clever ways can be fun, don't go overboard on choosing names that limit the potential of the new story. (Don't use the main restart cascade to post your own thread ideas. Use a branch point.) 06. As this cascade exists, posting "Restart" options in regular episodes is not allowed. Do not do that. 07. In addition, and slightly off-topic but needs to be noted, episodes only need one "Something Else" option. There is no need to fill up the seven options all with "SE". Just let the list end at however many options you can think up, plus one (1) "Something Else". 08. In addition to Rule 05 for the purpose of keeping the Restart Cascade! episode list clean, and easy to use, episodes that are not of the Cascade should have different thread titles. That means that if you start a thread off the Cascade, rename the thread immediately! This as opposed to waiting one, or two episodes, like is often done on some other Addventures. 09. As per Rule 03, The Cascade is to be extended as needed. And no more. Extending the Cascade before all "Restart" options are taken will be dealt with as all regular cascading fate splits are. 10. There will be NO fate-splitting the "Restart" options. See above. 11. Episodes should not be blank. 12. Corollary to Rule 09. As there are those who need clarification. "Extending as needed" also includes "extending when needed". Therefore, when I say "extend the Cascade when all options in the previous level have been taken", I mean "extend the Cascade when all options in the previous level have been taken, and you need to use the next option immediately!". Do not extend the Cascade for the sake of extending the Cascade! 13. When reposting the rules, copy the HTML source (not the HTML display) and preserve the formatting. The options to the Restart Cascade are to read "Restart". That's all. NO exceptions, or variants. 15. There will be no idea discussions on the comment boards to the Restart Cascade!. None. Do not post ideas, and concepts. Instead write an episode from that idea, post it, and discuss as you like in the comments on that episode. No. You may not post a fatesplit, or any such null episode, for this purpose. 16. Restart Cascade! episodes which are not signed will be credited to the first author that extends from that episode. Under the assumption that such was the intention of the author as consistent with Rule 12. Because unsigned and unclaimed Cascade! episodes, and thus Rule 12 violations, will not be allowed. Further, such occurrences may lead to IP-bans of those who post them. 17. Threads extended from the Restart Cascade! must have a discernible story direction, and make noticeable progress toward that direction within the first few episodes. If you don't know what it means for a story to have a direction, what it means for a story to progress, or how those things are detected I recommend you research the matter. Otherwise, extend from the Cascade! at your own risk. And keep backups. 18. If you start a new thread, remember to put a title and subtitle. Example: (Title: Subtitle) (Ranma's New Coat: Ranma Gets A New Coat). When choosing an option in an episode, remember to use the proper title. In the episode (Ranma's New Coat: Ranma Gets A New Coat), there could be an option for "Ranma goes to the Neko Hanten to show off his coat.". Choosing this you should use (Ranma's New Coat: Whatever-You-Want). 19. Episodes extended from the Restart Cascade! must have titles, and subtitles, that are spelled and capitalized correctly. 20. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are you to post any RL illegal content! Explanation... NO KIDDIE PORN! 21. Please, keep the cascade alive.
